Version: 2.0

Our Commitment to Your Privacy

At Savorio, we believe privacy is a fundamental right. We built this app to help you coordinate group dining with friends and family, not to collect and sell your personal data. This policy explains exactly what information we collect, why we need it, and how we protect it.

We never sell your personal information. Period.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you create an account with Savorio, we collect:

  • Your name

  • Your email address

  • Authentication information from Google Sign-In (if used): your primary Google Account email address, personal info you've made publicly available, and a unique identifier (OpenID) that associates you with your Google account

When collaborating with your group, we collect content such as:

  • Group names,

  • Event details

  • Restaurant suggestions

  • Notes you create

Information We Collect Automatically

  • Usage Data: How you interact with the app (buttons clicked, features used, time spent)

  • Device Information: Basic device details needed for the app to function properly

  • Performance Data: App crashes and errors to help us fix problems

Google Account Integration

We use Google Sign-In for authentication, which allows you to securely sign in to Savorio using your Google account. When you sign in with Google, we access:

  • Your primary Google Account email address

  • Your personal info, including any personal info you've made publicly available

  • A unique identifier (OpenID) that associates you with your personal info on Google

This information is used solely to:

  • Create and maintain your Savorio account

  • Authenticate you when you log in

  • Display your name and profile picture to friends in your dining groups

  • Send you essential service-related communications to your email

We do not:

  • Access any other Google services without your explicit permission

  • Share your Google account information with third parties (except as required for authentication with Google)

  • Use your Google profile data for advertising or marketing beyond essential Savorio communications

Google Calendar Integration

When you choose to connect your Google Calendar to enhance scheduling features, we request access to see, edit, share, and permanently delete all the calendars you can access using Google Calendar. However, we limit our use of these permissions as follows:

What we actually do with your calendar access:

  • View events from your Google Calendar to identify your availability for group dining plans

  • View your calendar list to let you select which calendars to check for conflicts

  • Create calendar events for confirmed dining reservations (only when you explicitly request this)

  • Update or delete dining events that were created by Savorio (we never modify or delete your other calendar events)

We use your Google Calendar data solely to:

  • Display your availability to friends within your dining groups on Savorio

  • Prevent scheduling conflicts when planning group meals

  • Help coordinate the best times for everyone in your group to meet

  • Add confirmed restaurant plans to your calendar when you request it

Important limitations and commitments:

  • We NEVER edit or delete calendar events that were not created by Savorio

  • We NEVER share your calendar with other users or modify sharing settings

  • We only read calendar data when you're actively planning with friends

  • Calendar data is not permanently stored on our servers (only temporarily cached for performance during active planning sessions)

  • Your calendar information is never sold, rented, or used for advertising, marketing, or any commercial purpose

  • Any temporary cached data is deleted within 24 hours

You maintain full control over this integration and can revoke our access to your Google Calendar at any time through your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com. Revoking access will disable scheduling features but won't affect your ability to use other Savorio features.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the Savorio service:

  • Account Management: To create and maintain your account.

  • Group Coordination: To enable you to create groups, plan events, and coordinate with friends.

We collect and use your information only for the purposes described in this policy. We do not use your information for advertising, marketing to third parties, or any purpose beyond operating Savorio.
